Table top sale

Irish Chain crib quilt

Everlasting Tree quilt

my first table top sale

Just a quick update before Matt and I head off to Canmore to spend a week skiing (yes, again) with my sister Susan and her family, then straight from there fly to Montreal for our road trip.

The top quilt was made for my friend Niamh whose baby is due any day, the pattern stated it was a crib quilt but still came out much bigger than I expected  though Niamh assures me it fits the crib perfectly.  The second quilt is on its way to my younger sister, Melissa, who chose the pattern and fabric herself so at least I know she will like it!

I attended my first table top sale in the village today with a selection of baby quilts I made from left over fabric.  I only sold one and this was to a friend who had already promised to buy one!  But before the sale I had sold three so not bad really.  I will try my luck again next month.  I may have a mistake by setting my stall next to my friend Hilary who sells very popular homemade embroidered cushions.  But it was nice to have someone to chat with as she sold a lot and I sold very little!

Happy Easter to everyone and we will update on our return.
