Condo Ninja (AKA Susan Atkinson)
Back at the start of April we spent over a week with my sister and her family skiing in the Rockies. We went to Sunshine Village, Nakiska, and Lake Louise resorts to ski. On the very first day skiing at Sunshine Chris had a tumble and managed to break his thumb! - so off to Canmore hospital for him and Barnaby on the advice of Jackie (our physio friend who was thankfully skiing that day too with us!). Luckily for Chris he was able to continue to ski with his hand in plaster - being more than able to ski without poles if he wanted and with a woollen mitt pulled over his arm like a sock bunny!
The condo we stayed in at Canmore was lovely and we spent most evenings playing games and drinking very strong Gin and Tonics (courtesy of Susan). The Atkinsons went dog sledding one morning whilst Matt and I enjoyed a lie in and then a leisurely wander around Banff. After one skiing session we all went to the Banff Hot Springs up on Sulpher mountain for a soak to ease our over worked muscles. We were blessed with great weather and pretty good snow.
On our final day in Canmore, Matt and I parted with the Atkinsons, leaving them to some last minute shopping, and we departed early for Calgary airport to start our next holiday! Update coming soon!!!
