Well, the party is over! This is our last update (although we have been in York now for 2 weeks but only just received internet access). Here are a few pictures from our last few weeks in Canada.
Ralston baby owls (Great Horned Owls)
These owls would swoop down and sit on the railings of a house at the edge of the village every day at 5pm - they did this for about 2 months. They are very large but their mother is even larger!
Last night in Calgary
Matt and I enjoyed an amazing meal at the Vintage Chophouse in Calgary where they do the best steak ever. We treated ourselves to a bottle of champagne and made a night of it. We had a good reminisce of all the amazing times we had in Canada.
My leaving dinner
On my last day at Servus the whole team went to dinner at the Cheesecake Café (a local favourite). It was a great night if a little sad to be leaving my friends and a job I have enjoyed.
Ready to go home!!
The cats made it back in one piece (and clean) and spent a week at a local cattery in York whilst we sorted out the house. Matt has started work and is enjoying the slower pace of life and having his weekends free again. I have managed to gain employment and hopefully start my new job in a few weeks.
A big thank you to everyone who has followed us on our adventure - we really did have the best time.
